Iran Press/ Iran news: The 15th consignment of corona vaccine prepared by the Red Crescent Society containing 1,110,000 doses of vaccine was delivered to the Ministry of Health at Imam Khomeini Airport on Thursday, August 19th, and a total of 15 consignments including 17 million and 60,000 doses of vaccine have been delivered so far has been entered to the country by 17 flights.
On Thursday, Karim Hemmati, the head of the Red Crescent Society, announced the import of a new shipment of corona vaccine, prepared by the Red Crescent, to the country and added: "With the import of the 15th shipment of the corona vaccine to the country, the Red Crescent will redouble its efforts to double the import of the vaccine during September."
He said: "The vaccines are imported from China to Iran as before by the Red Crescent and the received cargo will be delivered to the Ministry of Health, Treatment and Medical Education at Imam Khomeini Airport."
Hemmati announced that the import of vaccines by the Red Crescent would continue, emphasizing: "In total, 15 shipments, including 17 million and 60 thousand doses of corona vaccine, have been transported to Iran by 17 flights."
The head of the Red Crescent Society, referring to the president's recent follow-ups and negotiations with his Chinese counterpart, added: "The Red Crescent Society, based on its mission and relying on the order of the Leader and the support of the President and the government, will import vaccines every week so that It will increase to 5 million doses, and by the end of September, 20 million doses of vaccine will be imported into the country, bringing the total import to nearly 40 million doses."
