Bushehr (IP) – Public Relations of Bushehr Nuclear Power Plant announced that following today's earthquake in Genaveh Port, no damage was inflicted on the power plant.

Iran PressIran News: According to the Public Relations of Bushehr Nuclear Power Plant, "all facilities, equipment, and buildings have been safe and in perfect condition."

Bushehr Nuclear Power Plant is designed and built according to international standards and regulations and is safe against the most severe earthquakes.

An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.9 on the Richter scale shook the Bushehr and Fars provinces of Iran on Sunday.

It has been felt in most areas of Bushehr and areas of Khuzestan, Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad, and Fars provinces.

The National Seismological Center of the Institute of Geophysics of the University of Tehran has announced the epicenter of the earthquake near the port of Genaveh and at a depth of 10 km. The epicenter was reported at 50.72 longitudes and 29.76 latitudes, 28 km from Genaveh and 91 km from Bushehr.
