US military logistics convoy attacked in southern Iraq

Baghdad (IP) - A convoy carrying logistics equipment for the US military has been targeted in the southern Iraqi province of Al-Diwaniyah.

Iran Press/Middle East: The convoy is affiliated with the US coalition and was targeted on a highway in Iraq's Diwaniyah province, according to Al-Mayadin.

A security source said that a bomb had exploded in the caravan route, causing no casualties.

According to Iraqi sources, the "Qasim al-Jabarin" resistance group claimed responsibility for the attack.

In recent months, convoys carrying logistics equipment for US troops stationed at various military bases in Iraq have been targeted.

These caravans enter Iraq mainly from the Syrian border in western Iraq or the Kuwaiti border in the south.
