Iraqi Media announced that two American convoys were targeted on Thursday in Baghdad and Babil's central provinces.

Iran PressMiddle East: According to the Saberin telegram news channel, the American convoys were targeted in Baghdad and Babil.

other media sources reported that a roadside improvised explosive device (IED) targeted a convoy of trucks carrying supplies for the US-led coalition forces on the Babylon Highway in Babil Governorate.

There were some reports of material damage but no initial reports of casualties. No group has formally claimed responsibility for the attack.

The US has yet shown no reaction to the news. 

In recent months, the US military convoys in Iraq have been repeatedly targeted by roadside bombs.

Many Iraqi people and groups consider the American forces in the country as occupiers and insist on their immediate expulsion. The Iraqi parliament has also approved a bill for the withdrawal of these forces.
