Secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council Ali Larijani met with Pakistani Prime Minister Mohammad Shahbaz Sharif at the Prime Minister’s House in Islamabad during his official visit to the country.

Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif praised Iran’s principled stance on regional issues and expressed gratitude for Tehran’s solidarity with Pakistan during difficult times. Sharif also extended a warm welcome to Larijani, highlighting the "close brotherly relations" between the two countries and calling for expanded cooperation across multiple sectors.

Larijani echoed the need to strengthen ties in mutually beneficial areas, stressing Iran’s commitment to dialogue and partnership. He thanked Pakistan for its support during the recent 12-day war and commended Islamabad’s role in advocating diplomacy and peaceful dispute resolution.

Sharif also conveyed his respect and good wishes to the Leader of Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei and President Masoud Pezeshkian, acknowledging their support for Pakistan.

The meeting ended with an agreement for Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar to lead a delegation to Iran in the near future to strengthen cooperation, particularly in agriculture and communications
