Why it matters:
Pakistan’s condemnation reflects its position alongside regional partners concerned about the situation in Gaza. Israel’s continued military strikes are disrupting peace efforts, and Pakistan’s call for a sovereign Palestinian state emphasizes the urgent need for international action to restore stability.
What we're hearing:
“These attacks are sabotaging peace efforts and constitute a clear violation of the Sharm El‑Sheikh agreement,” Andrabi said.
He urged the international community to act immediately to stop Israeli exclusion and ceasefire violations.
The Foreign Office emphasized upholding international human rights and humanitarian law.
Pakistan reiterated its firm support for the establishment of an independent, sovereign, and contiguous Palestinian state with internationally recognized borders.
On the ground:
Israeli regime has repeatedly violated the ceasefire in Gaza after the U.S. so-called ceasefire as it did so before the so-called ceasefires.
It has violated the Gaza ceasefire nearly 500 times in 44 days, killing hundreds of people. According to the Gaza government media office, since the ceasefire took effect on October 10, 2025, the Israeli regime has killed hundreds of Palestinians. In these attacks, 342 civilians were killed, most of them children, women, and the elderly.
