Iran Press/Asia: After a mega event at India's Parliament, the country's President Ram Nath Kovind appointed Modi as the Prime Minister.
Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has asked his MPs to make attempts to reach out to the minorities who have been living in an "imaginary fear", India Today reported.
PM Modi was speaking at the Parliament Central Hall on Saturday when he said this during his 75-minute speech
Narendra Modi met the new batch of MPs at the Parliament Central Hall on Saturday evening and made a 75-minute address in which he asked the 353 NDA members to work in the government without discriminating against anyone and win the trust of minorities.
PM Narendra Modi said that the minorities have been cheated by the Opposition for generations and now it is time to win them over.
He also asked the MPs to take everyone along and that the minorities have been made to live in an "imaginary fear" all this while and they have to break this "deception".
He said they should take everyone along, including those who have not voted for the ruling alliance and have been its trenchant critics.
After meeting Kovind, he said his government will leave no stone unturned to fulfill the aspirations and dreams of the people who have given it a massive mandate, multiplying its responsibilities.
On May 23, Indian Prime Minister promised to unite the country after a huge win in the election.
Modi’s victory boosted financial markets as investors expect his government will continue to pursue economic reforms. He will be under pressure to create employment for the tens of millions of young people coming on to the jobs market in the next few years and to boost depressed farm incomes.
