Iran news: According to Iran Press, during the 10th anniversary summit of Indian Ocean Naval Symposium (IONS) on Tuesday, Iran's Navy Commander Rear Admiral Hossein Khanzadi met with Indian Navy commander, Sunil Lanba.
According to Islamic Republic of Iran Army, Khanzandi said Iran and its navy are ready to cooperate in promoting naval relations in various fields include education, technology and information.

Both sides also have emphasized that annual meetings between naval commanders of the two countries are needed.
Rear Admiral Khanzadi said sanctions did not effect on Iran's military power, IRIB news agency reported.
He added Iran's armed forces, especially Navy and Air Force, have tolerated the most severe sanctions, but over the years, they have proven that sanctions have made them progress in science and technology.
Rear Admiral Khanzandi said the Iranian youth can build the most advanced military and naval equipment.
Iran's navy commander stressed Iran is self-sufficient in defending weapons, and enemies are unaware on the country's defense capability.
He added the new Iranian Navy's equipment will surprise the West.
Rear Admiral Khanzandi has traveled to India to attend at 10th anniversary summit of IONS.
