Palestinian youth martyred by Israeli soldiers in Gaza

The Palestinian Health Ministry has confirmed the martyrdom of a Palestinian youth who was earlier shot and critically wounded by Israeli soldiers at a 'March of Return' protest along Gaza's border fence.

Iran Press/Middle East: The Palestinian health ministry confirmed on Sunday that 24-year-old Habib al-Masri who was shot in the chest with live rounds at a protest near Beit Hanoun in Gaza the previous night was martyred on Sunday because of his injuries.

Two other young Palestinians were shot and wounded by the Israeli military. Hundreds had gathered for 'March of Return' protests in various locations along Gaza border.

Meanwhile, the Israeli army has said its UAVs (drones) targeted two Hamas posts in the southern Gaza Strip.

The protests are aimed at breaking a long-running blockade that Israel and Egypt have imposed on the population of Gaza.

Over the past year, about 190 Palestinians and an Israeli soldier have been killed in weekly rallies. Two more Palestinians were martyred on Friday. 104/213
