Terrorists groups in the southwestern de-escalation zone in Syria surrendered heavy weapons over the past 24 hours.

Terrorists groups from the southwestern de-escalation zone in Syria surrendered three tanks, two howitzers and five anti-aircraft installations over the past 24 hours, the Russian Defense Ministry's Reconciliation Center in Syria said in a statement.

The Russian Defense Ministry's Reconciliation Center in Syria added that as a result of negotiations with the leaders of settlements and terrorists groups groups in the southwestern de-escalation zone, with assistance of the Russian Reconciliation center, three tanks, two howitzers, five anti-aircraft installations, one heavy machine gun and three pickup trucks as well as large amount of ammunition were surrendered.

Recently, hundreds of terrorists and their families evacuated from southern Syria arrived on Saturday in the northwest of the country.

According to the statement, in spite of the established ceasefire regime, Terrorists groups groups operating in Idlib de-escalation zone continue to violate it.

Syrian President Assad told the senior assistant to the Iranian foreign minister Hossein Jaberi Ansari, on Sunday that recent victories show the strong will of Syria and the allied countries .

About 1.2 million Syrian refugees have returned to their homes since September 2015.
