"The maritime private sector of Iran has many capabilities, and much to offer in both the service and the manufacturing side", said the head of Iran's Port and Maritime Organization, Mohammad Rastad.

Iran Press/Iran news: In an exclusive interview with Iran Press News Agency on Tuesday, Mohammad Rastad added: "Today we opened the marine exhibition of Islamic republic of Iran in Kish Island, obviously .during such events there will be a chance to introduce the capabilities and the potential of Iranian producers in the maritime field.

Speaking on sideline of Iran International Maritime and Offshore Technologies Exhibition, he explained: "Iranian shipping companies as well as the port services will have the opportunity to be in touch with both the industries which manufacturing the marine products and port equipment " adding "At the same time there will be an opportunity to have the students of maritime who have various courses to be in touch with the industry and marine companies"

Evaluating the participation of foreign countries in this expo Rastad said: "Fortunately this year, beside Iranian countries and producers, at least 18 foreign companies have been participated in this exhibition and beside Iranian countries we had the chance to become familiar to the most recent technologies in the maritime field".

20th version of Iran International Maritime and Offshore Technologies Exhibition, known as 'IRANIMEX 2018', opened at the Kish International Exhibition Center in the Persian Gulf island of Kish, off the southern coast of Iran on Monday and will run for three days. 208/103
