IRANIMEX 2018 Opens in Kish International Exhibition Center

20th version of Iran International Maritime and Offshore Technologies Exhibition, known as "IRANIMEX 2018", opens at the Kish International Exhibition Center in the Persian Gulf island of Kish, off the southern coast of Iran on Monday and will run for three days.

Iran PressIran news: Ali Akbar Marzban the chief executive officer of IRANIMEX 2018 Said that about 280 companies are participating in this expo and 18 of them are from five powerful countries in the maritime industries.

"18 international firms from the Netherlands, Germany, France, Greece, China and Taiwan participated in the expo," Dr Ali Akbar Marzban said in an exclusive interview with Iran Press.

IRANIMEX 2018 officially kicked off with the speech of deputy head of Iranian port and maritime organization Hadi Haghshenas.

Deputy head of the Iranian port and maritime organization Haghshenas, speak about the role of maritime industries and transportation in the economy.

"We must use artificial intelligence systems in the maritime industry to bring down the cost of maritime transportation, environmental protection and safety issues", Haghshenas added.

Iran's Ports and Maritime Organization (PMO) Head Mohammad Rastad described, Iran International Maritime and Offshore Technologies Exhibition a good opportunity to show Iran's capabilities to the world.

The expo has been organized with the aim of gathering maritime organizations and companies, and providing them with a platform for negotiations and an opportunity to showcase their products and capabilities, including deck and safety equipment, electronics as well as navigation, propulsion, maneuvering and dredging equipment, the news service of the Ministry of Roads and Urban Development quoted Marzban as saying.

IRANIMEX has been successfully organized 19 prior editions. An established local brand that brings in visitors from all walks of the maritime & offshore life and government.

The last edition saw visits of Iran's minister of transport and the naval commander as well as numerous ship owners, ship yards and high level employees of the Iranian oil and gas sector.

The exhibition is supported by a multitude of important associations and organization including the Iranian Association of Naval Architecture & Marine Engineering and the Kish Investment and Development Co. 101/205
