The Iranian foreign minister, Mohammad Javad Zarif, has reacted to Donald Trump's re-imposition of illegal unilateral U.S. sanctions against Iran, saying the sanctions reveal the Trump administration's real intentions.

According to Iran PressForeign minister Zarif referred to Donald Trump's recent tweets and statements designed to mislead world public opinion and domestic public opinion in the US , saying: Trump wants to fool world public opinion into thinking that he cares about the Iranian people, but the fact of the matter is re-imposition of U.S. sanctions have blocked the sale of 200 commercial passenger aircraft to Iran, effectively preventing Iran from rejuvenating its ageing fleet of aircraft. This certainly endangers the lives of Iranian passengers on commercial flights. Trump is endangering Iranian lives. He couldn't  care less about the Iranian people. America's deceit has no bounds !!"

It is worth noting that US president, Donald Trump signed into law the re-imposition of unilateral US sanctions against Iran on Monday afternoon. Trump also said from Tuesday ( 7 August ) sanctions on Iran's auto-manufacturing industry, and on the Iranian currency (Rial ) and gold trade would also come into effect.  He also said sanctions against Iran's banking and financial sector would come into effect on 5 November 2018.

Also on Monday afternoon in a statement, Donald Trump repeated his rhetoric against the Joint Comprehensive Plan Of Action ( JCPOA ) , describing the Iran nuclear deal as 'horrible' , and once again threatening those countries which continue to do business with Iran with 'grave consequences' if they don't wind down their business activities.

Earlier, Iranian President Hassan Rouhani said that US sanctions creates problems for people’s lives in Iran and is international crime.

“Today, we are at a point in time that strong will of the two nations and governments are against powers that are seeking to deprive the human society of their rights,” Iranian President Hassan Rouhani said at the meeting of businessmen of Iran and Austria in Vienna.

"Some powers are trying to deprive people of their rights and national interests and it is our duty to stand against unlawfulness and unilateralism", President Rouhani added.

Iranian President also said “we are facing some issues. The first issue is unilateralism and those who believe that other countries and investors and business person must respect their laws and this means that they have to abandon their own national interests and think about another country’s national interests."

Also, Iranian President Hassan Rouhani delivered a lengthy speech at a national judiciary congress in Tehran, discussing the US pullout from the Iran nuclear deal, JCPOA, and its consequences.

President Rouhani said that Donald Trump’s withdrawal from the Iran nuclear deal was “America’s worst and last option” as the move came with the highest prices for the US.
