Deputy Health Minister of Iran Alireza Raeisi

The Deputy Health Minister of Iran Alireza Raeisi has emphasized that Iran will continue to send humanitarian aid to Iraq, Syria, and Yemen.

Iran Press/ Middle East: Referring to Iran's humanitarian aid to Iraq, Syria, and Yemen, Raeisi said Iran has always been a supporter of these countries.

Raeisi also pointed to Iran's capabilities in the field of health and medicine and said: "Iran is the most advanced country in the region in terms of medical services offered to patients and the public and in terns of healthcare services offered to the general public."

WHO Regional Director for the Eastern Mediterranean, Dr. Ahmed Al-Mandhari who had traveled to Tehran to attend the 66th session of the World Health Organization Regional Committee for the Eastern Mediterranean, had said that in terms of public health coverage, Iran is a leader in West Asia region."

The 66th session of the World Health Organization Regional Committee for the Eastern Mediterranean (EMRO), kicked off with the attendance of many foreign countries and officials in Tehran on Tuesday, 15 October.
