Iran's Minister of Information and Communication Technology said that the country has managed to repel and thwart 33 million cyber-attacks within the past year.

Iran PressIran news: Mohammad Javad Azari Jahromi, who has attended the Munich Security Conference (MSC) regional meeting in Doha, Qatar, said that the cyberattacks threaten the security of citizens and a wide range of services related to their lives.

"As a victim of cyber attacks, Iran has upgraded its defensive coverage against the attacks through the Dzhafa system," the ICT minister said, according to Iran Press.

Dezhfa system consists of 10 separate and interconnected systems that greatly repel cyber attacks.

He said that the unilateralism and the imposition of sanctions threaten international security in cyberspace, noting that the use of multilateral mechanisms is the solution to the problems of cybersecurity in the world.

After attending the Munich Security Conference in Doha, the Iranian Minister of Information and Communication Technology along with the Emir of Qatar attended the inaugural ceremony of the Smart City Exhibition.

The Munich Security Conference (MSC) regional meeting opened on Tuesday morning, attended by Emir of Qatar Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani and high-ranking political and security officials from various countries, including Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif and  Minister of Information and Communication Technology Mohammad Javad Azari Jahromi. 207/219
