Tehran (IP)- Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman, Seyyed Abbas Mousavi has stressed that Iran does not interfere in Afghan politics and that Iran does not support any particular political faction or group in Afghanistan.

Iran Press/Iran news: Foreign Ministry Spokesman Seyyed Abbas Mousavi made the remarks in response to Iran Press correspondent's question about Afghanistan in his weekly press conference in Tehran on Monday.

"The Islamic Republic of Iran supports a united and a legitimate government in Afghanistan and we have no orientation towards any particular group in the country", Mousavi added.

"All Afghan groups should participate in the running of the country, and should be involved in managing the country. All Afghan groups have to sit around and talk to each other at the negotiating table and solve the country's problems without foreign interference in Afghanistan's internal afiars, and this has been Iran's firm position", Seyyed Abbas Mousavi concluded.
