Tehran (IP) - Rahim Zare, the spokesman for 'Supporting National Production Commission' of Iranian Parliament said that Value Added Tax law amendment is in line with the Resistance Economy.

Iran Press/Iran News: In an exclusive interview with Iran Press, Zare said: "The current law has been in place for almost 10 years, and we examined the flaws that the current law had. Regarding the production boom and in line with the policies of the Resistance Economy, recession in the country and the inhumane sanctions against Iran, we had brought some goods that have zero rates, have an advantage and added value in the country and are made in the homeland."

The parliamentarian continued: "The Majlis has approved zero percent VAT on agricultural products, educational products and other products such as handmade carpets produced in the rural areas."

"The current law is modified with respect to international requirements to help domestic production and support the Resistance Economy. This will help national production, especially commodities that are 100 percent domestic," He concluded. 207/204
