Iranian female judoka Mahshid Sheikh Arpanahi

Iranian female judoka (judo practitioner) Mahshid Sheikh Arpanahi received a silver medal in the 6th CSIT World Sports Games in Spain.

Iran Press/Europe: Sheikh Arpanahi in the weight category of 78 kg grabbed a silver medal on Friday, which was the third day of the competitions.

The City of Tortosa in the Spanish region Catalonia is currently hosting the CSIT World Sports Games, from 2nd to 7th July 2019.

Earlier, Iran's 7-member men's judo team snatched five gold and two silver medals in the 6th CSIT World Sports Games which is underway in Tortosa, Spain.

According to an IRNA report, Iran's women team earned a gold, a silver, and a bronze medal. Iranian female fighter Sahar Chagholvand has also received Iran's first medal in women category.

Iranian athletes, sportsmen and sportswomen have so far received 36 gold, 22 silver, and 17 bronze medals. Iranian squad with 140 athletes, in 9 fields and a total of 16 teams is attending the event.

The 6th CSIT World Sports Games is underway with the attendance of 3,000 athletes from 42 countries. 101/211/214
