Tehran (IP) - The Venezuelan vice foreign minister met with the minister of foreign affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran and discussed the development of bilateral relations.

Iran PressIran News: Iran's Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian met with Venezuela's Vice Foreign Minister Capaya Rodríguez and discussed the development of bilateral relations.

In his meeting with Rodríguez, Amir- Abdollahian emphasized on expanding bilateral relations in the framework of pursuing cooperation in the field of energy, technology and high-tech, and deepening and strengthening bilateral relations.

Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs of Venezuela, calling the role of women in all countries very important, said that the congress of influential women showed that the presence and position of women in Iran is very prominent, bold and admirable.

The International Congress of Women of Influence was held in Tehran where women from 5 continents and 96 countries participated.

A delegation of 6 women from the ministers and heads of various organizations and ministries of Nicaragua also met with Amir-Abdollahian and discussed various issues including bilateral cooperation.

Amir-Abdollahian emphasized the importance of relations between the Islamic Republic of Iran and Latin America and Nicaragua in this meeting of the women's delegation of the ministers of the interior, family, education, youth, health and higher education of Nicaragua.

Nicaraguan Minister of Higher Education and President of the Autonomous University of Nicaragua Ramona Rodríguez, who has traveled to Tehran at the head of this delegation to participate in the International Congress of Women of Influence, described the development of university relations, scientific and cultural exchanges and the conclusion of a memorandum of cooperation with the University of Tehran as well as the joint training courses and conducting joint research as some of the goals of her trip.
