Iran Press/ Iran news: Two images were released on Monday which show flat views of a stretch of land in Marvdasht in Fars province and Khormoj in Bushehr province.
It is considered a great achievement for the country despite sanctions.
The Minister of Information and Communication Technology Isa Zarepour reported that he saw the pictures and hailed the Iranian scientists over the achievement.
Zarepour said the technologies of building satellites, sending them to space, and applying satellites were in the hands of Iranian scientists.
"Who would believe that Iran could join the club of countries possessing satellite technology?" the minister said and noted that was the first time the Iranian domestic satellite sent applied colored images with high definition.
Iran successfully launched its second military satellite, Noor-2, on Tuesday, 8 March, placing it in Leo orbit.
Noor 2, the first signals of which were successfully received by terrestrial stations, will orbit the earth once every 90 minutes and will pass Iran 16 times a day, with its mission lasting at least 3 years.
In addition to defense applications, Noor 2 satellite can monitor natural incidents such as floods and earthquakes from a 500km distance.
Noor 1 also was launched into space and placed in orbit 425 km from the Earth, which is still in the orbit.
