Tehran (IP) - Iran successfully launched its second military satellite, Noor-2, on Tuesday, placing it in Leo orbit.

Iran PressIran News: Earlier in 2020, Iran's Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) launched Noor-1, sending it to orbit 425 km from the Earth.

At the launching ceremony, the Commander of IRGC said that the Islamic Republic of Iran was the first Muslim country to send satellites to space.

Major General Hossein Salami said: "Today we overcame the enemy and acquire these sophisticated technologies and new knowledge and turn it into a successful product."

General Salami noted that the achievement indicated Iran's victory over those powers determined to prevent Iran from achieving the technology.
