The President of Iran, stating that standing up and taking a firm stand against hegemony and imperialism will surely succeed, said relations with Latin American countries will be pursued better than before to reach new horizons of cooperation.

Iran PressIran News: Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi on Monday evening, on the sidelines of the sixth meeting of the Gas Exporting Countries Summit, hold a meeting with Venezuelan Foreign Minister Felix Plasencia Gonzalez.

Iranian President said: "One of the proofs of this claim is that Venezuela has overcome sanctions despite intense pressure, but with the support and support of the people through resistance and planning, and today we see that the situation in this country is improving," he said.

Iran's President said that the Islamic Republic of Iran plans to expand cooperation and interaction with Venezuela in various fields, adding: "We are ready to work for the benefit of the people of Venezuela in changing the economic situation. Raisi emphasized that countries in Latin American region are a great example of the certainty of the victory achieved by the resistance of nations against the hegemony of world powers.

Raisi stressed: "Countries like Venezuela and Iran, more important than oil and gas reserves, have people who have decided to resist the demands of extravagance, and this is the biggest asset of our countries." 

He went on to say: "The relationship between our countries is a strategic relationship that must be pursued vigorously and the agreements between the two countries should be implemented as soon as possible."

The Iranian president noted that relations with Latin American countries in the new administration are different and far better than before which will reach new horizons of cooperation. 

Raisi called the continuous improvement of Venezuela's economic situation the result of the efforts and resistance of the Venezuelan people and said: "The United States thought that Latin America would be the backyard of his extravagances, but today, contrary to its expectations, the countries of the region have become one of the biggest obstacles to American hegemony."

In this meeting, Venezuelan Foreign Minister Felix Plasencia Gonzalez said that his country is strongly opposed to US imperialism, adding that the United States wants all nations to abide by his wishes, but the Venezuelan people have stood firm against his aspirations and will not allow the United States to obstruct Venezuela's leadership role in the liberation and aspirations of Latin American nations.

The Venezuelan Foreign Minister stressed his country's interest in further strengthening relations with Iran.

In this ceremony,  in the presence of Iran's President Ebrahim Raisi, a memorandum of understanding on technology transfer and joint cooperation in the field of oil and gas between Iran and Venezuela was signed by the Iranian Minister of Oil and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Venezuela. 219
