Tehran (IP) - The Iranian president will leave for Russia on Wednesday, at the official invitation of his Russian counterpart, in order to expand economic, political and cultural interactions.

Iran PressIran News: According to the recent tweet posted by Ali Bahadori-Jahromi, the government spokesman and Chairman of the government's Information Council, attending and addressing the plenary session of the Duma, meeting with Iranians living in Russia, and meeting with Russian economic activists are part of President Ebrahim Raisi's plans for the two-day trip.

The Ministers of Foreign Affairs, Oil and Economic Affairs and Finance will accompany President Raisi on this trip.

The tweet added that increasing exports to Russia, as well as strengthening economic-trading ties, would be the topic of interest in the discussions. 

Raisi has already traveled to Tajikistan and Turkmenistan in line with his administration's approach to maximizing ties with neighbors and countries in the region.
