Tabriz (IP) - Nurses have an essential role in promoting the community's health, and this critical issue was well shown during the coronavirus outbreak with the self-sacrifice of nurses and doctors.

Iran PressIran news: The birth anniversary of Hazrat Zeinab (PBUH) has been named "Nurse's Day" in the calendar of the Islamic Republic of Iran. Accordingly, December 8-14 in Iran has been designated as "Nurse's Week."

On the occasion of Nurses' Week, IranPress News Agency reporter in Tabriz, the capital of East Azerbaijan Province, northwestern Iran, attended a hospital in Tabriz, depicting the activities of nurses to save patients.

Nurses play an essential role in the treatment of patients and have sacrificed their lives in the last two years in the front lines of the fight against the coronavirus. 

The motto of this year's Nursing Week is "Ensuring people's rights, removing service barriers, promoting community health."
