Iran logs 625 COVID deaths in 24 hrs

Tehran (IP) – Iran's Health Ministry announced on Tuesday that COVID-19 had taken 625 lives during the past 24 hours, bringing the total death toll to 99,108.

Iran PressIran News: According to definitive laboratory findings from yesterday to August 17, 2021, a total number of 4,517,243 people in the country have contracted COVID-19, and 3,786,488 of the total infected people recovered.

Newly diagnosed patients with COVID-19 were 50,228 cases, out of whom 5,163 patients were hospitalized.

7,424 COVID-19 patients are in intensive care units (ICU).

So far, 27,380,677 COVID-19 diagnosis tests have been conducted across Iran.

According to the latest analysis, 359 cities are red, 59 are orange, and 30 are yellow zones.

So far, 15,766,564 people have received the first dose of the COVID vaccine, 4,714,701 people have received the second dose, and the total number of vaccines injected in the country reached 20,481,265 doses.
