Iran's IRGC, in a statement, announced the destruction of the command post of the American forces at Ali Al-Salem base in Kuwait, during an operation in response to the U.S. attack on southern Iran.

The U.S. army began an attack on residential areas in southern and southwestern Iran on early morning today, which led to the martyrdom 12 people (including a child) and over 70 others.

In its Statement No. 7, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) announced retaliatory strikes against U.S. military facilities in Kuwait, Jordan, Bahrain, and Erbil. The IRGC noted that these attacks were carried out as a response to a U.S. strike in Sirik, southern Iran, which that targeted a wedding ceremony.

The IRGC also reported that in response, its Ground Forces launched a coordinated missile and drone attack on the Ali Al-Salem base in Kuwait, destroying drone hangars and deployment ramps, damaged several drones, and resulted in casualties among American personnel.

In its message to the people of Kuwait, the IRGC framed the strikes as an effort to assist in “cleansing” the region of the U.S. presence, which it characterized as an occupation of Islamic lands.
