Alborz (IP) - On the occasion of on Laylat al-Qadr nights a ritual performance went on stage for 5 nights in Karaj, the capital of Alborz province, west to Tehran.

Iran Press/Iran News: The religious theater is played on the order Health Ministry, with the social-distancing protocol observed and can be watched through the websites of the Karaj’s Municipalities.

Laylat al-Qadr or the Night of Destiny is the night of the revelation of the Qur'an to the Prophet Muhammad (S). 

The exact date of Laylat al-Qadr is unknown. However, according to many traditions, Shias hold religious ceremonies on the eve of 19th, 21st, and 23rd of the month of Ramadan, with staying awake the whole night, reciting Qur'an, praying, and performing other rituals. 

On the morning of Ramadan 19, Imam Ali (AS) was struck with a poison-coated sword by a Kharijite called Ibn Muljam al-Muradi and was martyred from its injury two days later.
