Paytakht- 5 (Capital-5) is a popular Iranian TV serial in 18 parts, in comedy genre.It is about the story of a family who traveled to Turkey but ended-up being in Syria among ISIS terrorists. They encounter ISIS terrorists in a Syrian desert, on their way to Lattakia.
Houman Haaj-Abdollahi one of actors in Paytakht-5 serial wrote on his Instagram page: " Though I played in the serial, I was about to have a heart attack, because of the panic showed in the serial". Houman Haaj-Abdollahi's comments emphasizes the depth of atrocities committed by ISIS.
" If Iranian Shrine Defenders did not fight against Daesh(ISIS), we would not have celebrated the happy moments of life in Iran and the country might have been under the boots of ISIS terrorists", Said Hamid Rasaie, an Iranian Shia cleric and principlist politician and former member of the Islamic Consultative Assembly.
Public reactions to Paytakht- 5 was widespread on social media platforms such as Instagram and Telegram. They showed support and glory for Iranian fight against ISIS in Iraq and Syria.
"Veneered by top cinematographic special effects and starring popular stars, this parody is going to narrate some characteristics of the real life of an Iranian family regarding the recent conflicts in the region," said earlier the show's director, Siroos Moghadam
Paytakht-5 is in its fifth season. The show's plot involves an accidental encounter between a well-known Iranian family and ISIS terrorists in an unidentified location in Syria.
