Iran\'s Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif

Iranian Foreign Minister said Iran always tries to keep the Persian Gulf secure and stable and America cannot create instability in the region.

Iran Press/Iran news: Iran's Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif at the Norwegian Institute of International Affairs on Thursday said that: "Iran is ready to talk and negotiate about the security of the Persian Gulf with all the countries but we never allow the US and its alliances to behave in this regard like a bully".

He went on to say:" The main purpose of the US is the people of Iran, they want to put Iran's people into heavy pressure by sanctions, so they change their stances, and it's a kind of terrorism", Iran Press reported.

Zarif said: "Iran is ready to talk and negotiate about the security of the Persian Gulf with all the countries but we never allow the US and its allies to behave in this regard like a bully".

Iranian FM added that:" According to UN Resolution 2231, countries must develop their economic relations with Iran but the US through imposing sanctions against Iran makes the problem for them in this regard".

He also at his last session at SIPRI (Stockholm International Peace Research Institute) on Wednesday has said that "Security in the region can't be imposed from the outside," and also added Persian Gulf Arab States can't achieve security by purchasing Western weapons".
