Iran will never negotiate with an oathbreaker: Zarif

Iranian Foreign Minister expressed that Tehran will not negotiate with an oathbreaker country.

Iran Press/Iran News: Iran's Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif said at the end of his 9-day-visit to New York that his country will never negotiate with an oathbreaker country.

Zarif referred to Iran's relation with Saudi Arabia and mentioned that Hormoz Peace initiative is the best opportunity for Saudi Arabia to join the "Coalition of Hope".

Emphasizing that Iran has always wanted the glory of its neighbours, Zarif added that Tehran always views its neighbours as brothers that are its neighbours till the end of history, not as creatures that can only be used for milking.

The Iranian Foreign Minister referred to Iran's assistance to Kuwait during the invasion of Saddam's regime, Iraq's ousted dictator, as well as Tehran's aid to Qatar during its siege by Saudi Arabia and its allies, saying Iran had never abandoned its neighbours and it won't do that.

Speaking at the United Nations General Assembly on Wednesday, Iranian President Hassan Rouhani elaborated on a regional peace plan called the "Hormuz Peace" initiative or "Coalition of Hope", while explaining Iran's regional and international positions.

Promoting solidarity, mutual understanding and peaceful relations, cooperation between countries in the region, respect for national sovereignty and territorial integrity, combating terrorism and extremism and ensuring energy security, freedom of navigation and free flow of oil are among the goals of Hormuz Peace initiative.
