The supreme court of Gibraltar extended the detention of the Iranian oil tanker Grace 1 until Aug. 15.

Iran Press/ Europe: Gibraltar’s supreme court ruled on Friday that a seized Iranian tanker  would be detained for another 30 days.

According to Iran Press, the Gibraltar government said on Friday that the Court in a private meeting has extended the period of detention of Iranian vessel, Grace 1, for a nother 30 days and also set a new hearing for 15 August 2019.

The ruling of the Supreme court of Gibraltar is while Iran has warned that the continuation of the seizure of the country's tanker will not go unanswered.

The British navy seized an Iranian tanker at Gibraltar on Thursday (July 4th) at the request of the United States.

Tehran has slammed the British move as piracy, urging the immediate release of the tanker.
