Iran Press/Iran news: The Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei addressed the Friday prayer leaders of different cities on Tuesday in Tehran on the occasion of the 40th anniversary of holding the first Friday Prayers after the Islamic revolution, which was held on July 27, 1979.
The Leader described ‘arrogance’ as the biggest problem of western states, saying, “If a weak country confronts them, this arrogance will do work for them, but if it is a country which sees the facts beyond their actions and stands strong while figuring out the truth, western states will fail.”
“About the issues between Iran and Europe, the main reason behind the sustainability of problems is their arrogance,” he added.
Iran will continue to reduce JCPOA commitments
The Leader pointed out that " the Foreign Minister, despite his diplomatic considerations, is clearly stating that. But what did we do? We acted based on our commitments, and even beyond that". Ayatollah Khamenei reiterated that Iran continued to stay within the JCPOA despite the fact that the EU partners of the JCPOA as well as the British government violated the international plan of action and yet demanded Iran to stay with its promises: Now that we have started to reduce our commitments, they step forward. They are very insolent, and they have not abided by their eleven commitments. We have just started to reduce some of our commitments, and this process will surely continue.
The Leader also slammed the British government for the recent attack on Iranian tanker and declared: Among all these nonsensical expectations, the vicious government of Britain commits piracy, and steals our ship. They commit crimes and make it appear legal. The Islamic Republic and devout agents of the system will respond to these vicious acts. 104/214/203
