Iranian Minister of Communications and Information Technology Mohammad Javad Azari Jahromi

Iran's Minister of Communications and Information Technology has said Iran has a great potential for foreign investment, especially in the field of information technology, and investment companies can benefit from the lucrative Iranian market, making reasonable profits.

Iran Press/Iran news: Mohammad Javad Azari Jahromi, Iran's ICT minister, who is in China to attend the 2019 Summer Davos, in an interview with IRNA on Wednesday said extensive economic relations have been established in the field of communications and information technology between Iran and China.

Azari Jahromi added: "China has made significant progress in the field of information technology and is one of the leading countries in this field. We can have a beneficial partnership in the fields of information technology and digital economy in Iran and the Middle East region, whether bilaterally or multilaterally."

Launching an international market

Elsewhere in his interview, Azari Jahromi said that the development of international cooperation with China is underway and we pursue creating a regional market that is currently followed up by Iran, Russia, Turkey and Azerbaijan.

Bilateral meetings to take place

Iran's Minister of Communications and Information Technology went on to say a meeting with the Chinese Minister of Communications, as well as a meeting with the secretary-general of the Asia-Pacific Space Cooperation Organization (APSCO), are also on his agenda. 101/211/213
