Iran Press/Iran news: Speaking at an inauguration ceremony in Tehran on Saturday afternoon, for 643 cooperative projects being initiated throughout the country, Es'haq Jahangiri said the development of the cooperative sector offers a way of reducing unemployment and creating jobs.
The first Vice President added: "We have plenty of natural resources such as mines, minerals, oil, and gas, and these constitute our national wealth and resources. We must use these resources wisely, and we must create wealth and added value. By investing in the cooperatives sector, we can spread and expand social justice, and we can create job opportunities for the unemployed. Currently, there are 1.7 million Iranians working in cooperatives and the cooperative sector."
Referring to the inauguration of 643 cooperative projects, with a total investment of 1.5 trillion Tomans (15 trillion Rials) and the creation of 18000 jobs, Jahangiri said we must further invest in this sector, to boost the economy and solve the problem of unemployment.
The 643 projects dotted throughout the country, were inaugurated simultaneously on Saturday afternoon by the first Vice President through video conference links with various cities, towns, and provinces. It is expected that 18000 new job opportunities will be created by these cooperative projects.
