High-ranking military delegations of Iran and Iraq held talks in Baghdad on Monday to discuss ways to enhance bilateral cooperation.

Iran Press/Middle East:  Iranian military delegation led by Deputy Defense Minister, Brigadier General Ghasem Taghizadeh, and attendance of Iranian Military Attaché to Baghdad, Brigadier General Mostafa Moradian met Iraq’s Chief of Staff, Othman al-Ghanemi and other senior commanders in Iraq Defense Ministry’s headquarters, Iran Press reported.

The two sides reached agreement on deepening military ties between the two neighboring countries.

Bolstering stability and security in the region, examining the most recent collaborations, and enhancing cooperation to fight terrorism were also discussed in the meeting.105/205/213
