Iran Press/Middle East: reasons behind US cutting funds for UNRWA  and consequences:

At 31 August, US government announced the country cuts its funding for United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East known as UNRWA. All evidences make it clear that US government decision of stopping participation in funding UNRWA can lead to various political and security implications. For shedding some light on the various goals and reasons of this US action, we interviewed with a Jewish anti-Zionist activist, Mrs. Hadassah Borreman, a member of the Rabbinic Studies Circle Yechouroun-Judaism against Zionism in Antwerp, Belgium.

Iran Press: For what reasons and for what purpose President Trump decided to cut US financial aid to Palestinians?

Mrs. Borreman: This decision is a violation of international rights, it is criminal. First of all, we have to define Trump. President Trump has remained yet as a businessman, he is a reactionary conservative and the people who form his administration all are Zionists and warmongers. The goal of Trump is to sow discord between neighboring countries and to hinder trade. America is in big deficit. We know that war is engendered by jealousy. During the presidential campaign, he said he would not spend in the Middle East but to fight against Daesh in Syria. We see today that he is busy in the middle east giving millions to the Zionists and terrorists. He is willingly guided by deep state in the United States but saying he is not subject to Zionist and financial lobbies, because he supposedly financed his campaign from his own pocket and Zionists had no role in that matter. So his decision to stop US financial aid of $ 300 million to the Palestinians, also American taxpayers' money, is for his support for Zionism that he can barely concealed! In this decision, we must also see provocation, it is a tactic at home that we also find in other files.

Iran Press: What are the similarities and differences between the US President Obama's and Trump's Middle East policies?

Mrs. Borreman: Obama or Trump; they are both Zionists, one as well as the other. They both represent American imperialism, which does not change in nature. The difference between the two is in the tactics. They are also of different character, Trump is rather direct, disrespectful, while Obama is a politician in the truest sense and has more manners. Trump is more pragmatic than Obama. For the establishment, Trump is white, blond, protestant America and Obama is black, sometimes treated as Muslim, sometimes pro-Arab.

Is this decision a way to put pressure on the Palestinians?    Iran Press:

Mrs. Borreman: That's the point. This decision must be dealt within the context of the American plan " deal of the Century" together with the transfer of the US embassy to Al-Quds. These decisions are also part of the original Zionist project.

Iran Press: Some believe it would be a way to prevent Palestinian refugees from returning to their territory. What is your opinion?

Mrs. Borreman: That's for sure, at least to deter Palestinian refugees return. On the other hand, he gives this money to the Zionist regime to spend more on building settlement units for those who are not refugees.

Iran Press: Faced with this approach, how the international actors should react, including the European Union?

Mrs. Borreman: Among the international actors, there are those who do not react, indifference or fear of Zionist and financial lobbies, there are others who are trying to react but are rebuffed by the US policeman. Only the States or movements belonging to the axis of the Resistance really and concretely act in favour of Palestine. As for the "European Union", it makes opportunistic statements, giving a few euros to Palestinians, let's say to the Palestinian authority, it emphasises on the security that saying the Zionists would be entitled to!

Iran Press: The United Nations of which UNRWA is a dependent agency, how will react and what measures will it take?

Mrs. Borreman: UNRWA, like the UN, is not independent organization.  Those who pay for UN are the ones who decide. We are talking about aid to the Palestinians, but do not think that these millions are going to the Palestinians in Gaza, they are going into the PA (Palestinian authority) fund for their safety. The people who work there (UNRWA) are idealists and good-hearted people, they are on the ground and see misery. If the US does not pay anymore, it leads a redundancy in job lost and an existential threat for Gazans. The Palestinians are trapped because on the one hand, they need this help, millions of dollars have been allocated for them every year since 49! By the way, UNRWA is not a good thing because it is a "humanitarian" program to replace the Palestinian cause, the end of the occupation and the return of refugees. It is neither aid nor humanitarian, but it is political, to fight against Hamas, the Resistance and in this way this organization participates fully in the American-Zionist plot.

Iran Press: What are the consequences of this decision for the status of the United States in the Palestinian file?

Mrs. Borreman: This is a serious question because politicians in the United States do not all have the same position, even those who belong to the same party. This can cause internal problems in American politics, and also that the US is no longer accepted or in authority to deal with the Palestinian issue. This could go hand in hand with the weakening of the Zionist regime that is boycotted by the Resistance. Even if the Zionist regime and Washington are infidelities or argue for the show, they remain a tandem, they all together, hope that soon they fall together!

Iran Press: Would this move raises security concerns?

Mrs. Borreman: Palestinians will revolt. Unfortunately, they have unworthy leaders who are holding them back in their tracks to liberate Palestine!

Iran Press: Considering the threat of the Americans and the sanctions against the States that want to help the Palestinians, would it be possible to replace this aid by other countries?

Mrs. Borreman: Yes, there are countries that could help, for example India, Japan ... because they are sensitive to American pressure. Let's hope many others who are beginning to dare detach themselves from American-Zionist politics. The best for the Palestinians is to get out of Washington's dependence and the domination of Zionism.

Iran Press: is this aid cut done within protectionist approaches of the United States and " America first" policy? In your opinion, is it in the interest of the United States?

Mrs. Borreman

It can change quickly; nations awake!
