Israeli soldiers stationed at the border with Gaza opened fire on Friday at Palestinian protesters participating in the weekly March of Return activities at the border with Israel, according to medical sources.

Two Palestinians killed and at least 11 people were shot by live bullets, one of them received critical wounds to the head, and taken to hospital for treatment. Others suffered from inhaling tear gas fired by the Israeli soldiers.

Medics said two people were injured in the north of the Gaza Strip and two others were shot in Khan Younis in the south and all were admitted to hospital for treatment and reported in stable condition.

Meanwhile, armed Israeli drones fired missiles at Palestinians east of Gaza City but without causing any injury.

Israel claimed the Palestinians were getting ready to shoot incendiary balloons into Israel.

Over 150 Palestinians were shot dead by Israel and more than 15,000 injured since the start of the March of Return protests on March 30.
