Incendiary kites and balloons flown from the Gaza Strip caused fires in various places in a number of Israeli settlements.

It happened in 17 different locations in Israeli settlements near the fence with the besieged Gaza Strip.

Israeli settlements of Sderot and Niram were damaged by the fire.

The Gaza Strip has been under an Israeli siege since June 2007. The Israeli blockade has caused a decline in the standards of living as well as unprecedented levels of unemployment and unrelenting poverty in Gaza.

The Israeli regime denies about 1.8 million people in Gaza their basic rights, such as freedom of movement, jobs with proper wages as well as adequate healthcare and education.
