Tehran (IP) - Iran’s First Vice President said that the country has reduced some of its commitments to JCPOA to show the world that the Iranian nation is not weak-kneed, but a civilized and influential one.

Iran Press/Iran news: Iran’s First Vice President, Eshagh Jahangiri made the remarks on Tuesday during his speech at the 19th National Congress of the "Question of Mehr," held at Tehran with the presence of Iranian Acting Minister of Education, Seyyed Javad Hosseini, high-ranking government and military officials, teachers and chosen students.

“In the current situation, Europe must tell the Americans to stop their cruel sanctions against Iran, instead of holding talks with us and telling us to return to the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA),” said Jahangiri, according to Iran Press.

He emphasized that if Iran wants, it can re-implement all of its commitments to Iran Nuclear Pact, officially known as JCPOA, within hours, if the other signatories to the deal abide by their commitments to the JCPOA.

“According to the JCPOA, no sanction should have been imposed against the Iranian nation,” added the Vice President. “If you want the JCPOA to be saved, you must implement your commitments to the deal.”
