First Vice President Eshaq Jahangiri

Iran's First Vice President has stressed that the Americans are sending contradictory and mixed signals, threatening Iran and boasting about their military power one day, and calling for negotiations and talks with Tehran the next.

Iran Press/ Iran news: Touring an exhibition featuring products of 'Imam Khomeini Relief Committee' on Monday,  Iran's First Vice President Es'haq Jahangiri added that due to the pressures exerted by the US on Iran’s oil exports in 2019, the government will face restrictions in this year's budget.

However, the government is determined to leave behind the era successfully with the support of the public, he said, reported Iran Press.

“We are duty-bound to maintain national unity and not let undue disputes be aggravated,” he added.

Es'haq Janagiri went on to say: "Iran possesses numerous opportunities and resources and we can use them to overcome obstacles and problems."

“We have a serious enemy who wishes us harm, US dreams will never come true, and the Iranian nation will emerge victorious,” he said.

Recalling contradictions in US government behaviour, Jahangiri said that when they threaten and send warships as well as the times when they speak of talks, we send them the message: “We can make the enemy bow to the great nation of Iran through reliance on local capacities and policies set by the Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei.”
