Tehran (IP) - The 27th International Quran Exhibition opened in Tehran’s Imam Khomeini Mosalla on Saturday evening during a special ceremony attended by Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance Abbas Salehi and a number of religious and cultural figures.

Iran Press/Iran news: The world’s biggest Quranic event, the expo has numerous sections and each one is dedicated to a certain activity related to the Holy Quran.

The international art section of the event is where artists from around the world showcase valuable artworks inspired by the holy book of Islam, Iran Press reported.

Showcasing more than one hundred works from professional contemporary Iranian artists, a new gallery dedicated to the works of renowned Iranian Artists welcomes visitors in the 27th international Quran exhibition. The paintings, photographs and sculptures on display carry mystical and Quranic messages.

Eight countries are taking part in this exhibition, and Pakistan is this year’s Guest of Honour at the exhibition.

The 27th edition of the event will be officially open to the public from Sunday evening and will last for 14 days, wrapping up on May 26.   105/211
