Gasoline price increase canceled

Iran's Parliament speaker has said a proposed increase to the price of gasoline has been cancelled for the time being.

Iran Press/Iran news: According to an Iran Press report, the speaker of parliament Ali Larijani announced in Sunday morning's open session of the Majlis that the gasoline price increase has been canceled. A member of the executive board of the Majlis, and MP representing Tehran, Rey, Shemiranat and Eslamshahr electoral district Behrouz Nemati confirmed the cancelation.

Larijani also discussed the gasoline price increase issue during the session, according to Nemati.

He added that parliament speaker also announced that the issue of raising gasoline prices has already been abandoned and is scheduled to be discussed at a joint meeting of the parliament and the government along with various related issues to the program and budget.  208/211/103
