Lorestan (IP)- Relief operation is underway in flood-hit Lorestan with Iran's Armed Forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran including the Army, the Revolution Guard Corps and Red Crescent aid workers' hard efforts to save lives of the people.

Iran Press/Iran news: The cities of Khorram Abad,'Pol-eDohtar', and Mamulan have been reported as the mostly damaged cities in Lorestan Province, in Western Iran.

The Flood volume in the flood-stricken areas was so huge that some parts of Mamulan was completely submerged in water and water level in Pol-e Dokhtar even was as high as the roofs of the houses, reported Iran Press.

At the moment, the relief operations are underway in the residential areas of Pole-e Doktar,'Mamulan, and Noorabad in Lorestan province and thanks to efforts of Iran's Red Crescent rescue workers, Iranian armed forces including Iranian army and the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps.

Furthermore, some 10000 hot dishes together with some 200000 loaves of bread and some 200000 hot dishes have been distributed in Pol-e Dokhtar and Noor Abad respectively.

At the same time, Iran's top officials are regularly visiting the flood-affected areas in Lorestan province so that the relief operation will be done as fast as possible.105/203
