An Iranian MP has emphasized that the ultimate goal of FATF (Financial Action Task Force) is to harm Iran and supporting domestic production and resistive economy is the key to solving recent economic problems.

Iran Press/ Iran News: Iranian MP and member of Economic Commission in Iran's Parliament (Majlis), Shahab Naderi said in an exclusive interview with Iran Press on Sunday that he believes FATF is nothing more than a 'pretext' to meddle, influence and interfere in Iran's internal affairs.

"Bringing up issues like FATF from Western and European countries is comparable to issues like first and second JCPOA and is just a ploy to harm our country," Naderi said, adding: "Part of the current economic problems of our country is rooted in issues like JCPOA and FATF. It is simply a ploy by the West to gain a foothold in Iran."

Pointing out to 40 years' of US hostility towards the Islamic Republic of Iran, the member of Economic Commission of Majlis stressed that the way out for current economic problems is not these issues, rather the key to solving problems is supporting domestic manufacturing and production, improving internal capabilities and the resistive economy.Naderi added: "FATF has now been passed on from the parliament to the expediency council. There are prominent individuals in the Expediency Council and the Council of Guardians who know very well that FATF is meant to harm Iran.
