Iran's Education and Training minister, Mohammad Bathaei, has stressed that there has been significant success in boosting education in deprived areas, making education more accessible for everyone.

Iran Press/Iran news:  In an interview with Iran Press News Agency on Sunday, Mohammad Bathaei said fortunately, significant achievements have been made in reducing deprivation and poverty in the country.

Speaking at a press conference held at the Ministry of cooperatives labour and social welfare, Mohammad Bathaei said that this was the 8th coordination council  meeting to organize and plan to boost education in deprived and poor regions of the country.

Bathaei said: "This council consists of various government departments and ministries which are involved in some way in reducing and alleviating deprivation and poverty in various regions of the country, and equalising education, making education available to all, and making education a more level playing field."


Mohammad Bathaei added: "Fortunately we have had significant achievements in this regard in the past 4 to 5 years, that this coordination council meeting has taken place."

He added: "A kind of division of labour and designating responsibilities has taken place to eradicate deprivation and poverty in Education. Various government departments and organizations involved in this task, have provided us with reports and mentioned some obstacles which have been removed." 211/103
