Iran Press/Iran news: Second Brigadier General Yousef Ghorbani added, the new group will be established in the near future.
Referring to the achievements of Iran Army Aviation in designing and manufacturing the drones, General Ghorbani noted, a part of reconnaissance missions, which were previously conducted by helicopters, will be assigned to drone units.
Ghorbani also said that Iran Army Aviation seeks to use the elites and knowledge-based companies to enhance the capabilities of the defense industry.
Iran Army Aviation is currently in possession of the “strongest” and “biggest” helicopter fleet in the Middle East, General Ghorbani added.
Commander of Iran Army Aviation noted that countering the US sanctions requires Army Aviation's equipment.
