Iran Press/ Iran news: Iranian Defense Minister Brigadier General Amir Hatami, Secretary of Supreme Council of Free Trade and Industrial Zones Morteza Bank and Iranian Vice-President for Science and Technology Sorena Sattari have spoken at "International Conference on General Aviation" on Monday, Iran Press reported.
Meanwhile, the ninth edition of Iran Air Show kicked off on Sunday on Kish Island in the Persian Gulf, and will continue through Nov. 29.
The exhibition was officially inaugurated in a ceremony attended by Iranian Defense Minister Brigadier General Amir Hatami, Vice President for Science and Technology Sorena Sattari, and Head of Iran's Civil Aviation Organization Ali Abedzadeh.
In this conference, Iran’s defense minister unveiled three homegrown products and technologies used in the military and civilian aviation industry.
Iran Unveils New Military Achievements
One of them was the lap joint technology, developed by local experts and used in the aviation industry and other industries.
One of the products unveiled by the defense minister was a Bell 212 helicopter adapted for air medical service. The air ambulance can carry patients and medical equipment, including several stretchers and CPR systems.
The other product developed by the Iranian military experts was the combustion chamber of engine of Fokker 100 airliner.
Some 110 Iranian and 10 foreign companies are taking part in the four-day event, showcasing their latest achievements in the aviation industries.
Several seminars on the newest aviation technologies will be held during the exposition.
The Kish Air Show also known as Persian Gulf Airshow is an aviation exhibition held biennially on Kish Island. The first edition of the exhibition was held in 2002, as 11 foreign companies from France, Russia, United Kingdom, Ukraine, Germany, Czech Republic, Italy, the Netherlands, Pakistan, Slovakia and Switzerland attended the event. 101/201
