Iran's parliament presiding board announced on Sunday the names of four candidates to be considered as the next possible ministers in Hassan Rouhani's cabinet.

Iran news: According to exclusive report by Iran press news agency, the member of Iran's parliament presiding board, Ali Asghar Yousefnejad said on Sunday in Majlis open session that according to principle of 133 in the Constitution, the names of the four candidates who are considered as potential ministers have been announced to win vote of confidence by the parliamentarians.

The names of the four candidates are as follows:  

1. Mohammad Eslami, the candidate for ministry of road and urban development.

2. Reza Rahmani, the candidate for the ministry of industry, mine and trade.

3. Farhad Dezhpasand, the candidate for ministry of economic affairs and finance. 

4. Mohammad Shariatmadari, the candidate for ministry of cooperatives, labour, and social welfare.

Yousefnejad expressed hope that the commissions of the Iranian parliament pave the ground so that  the decision will be made within 10-day period. 

Earlier on October 20,2018, Iran’s President Hassan Rouhani accepted the resignation of minister of road and urban development Abbas Akhoundi and minister of industry, mine and trade Mohammad Shariatmadari.

In the letter, dated September 1 and addressed to president Hassan Rouhani, Iran’s minister of road and urban development, Abbas Akhoundi announced his resignation and asked the president to accept his decision. 

Mohammad Shariatmadari also resigned from his position as a minister.
