The 12th Iranian Youth Music Festival ended by selecting glorious works of music played by young participants in Tehran.

Iran press/Iran: "More than one thousand and 600 works of music in different genre has been sent to The 12th Iranian Youth Music Festival", the Festival's secretary Hooman As'adi said in an interview.

"About 600 musical works were reached to the final level of the Iranian Youth Music Festival in which 300 works were selected as chosen ones", the Festival's secretary noted.

"The 300 chosen works were narrowed down to 150 Folk music and 150 instrumental ones which were selected in final stage by committees responsible to choose the best works sent to Iranian Youth Music Festival", Hooman As'adi added.

"By holding up such festivals, it helps young people to choose the right path and also encourages them to continue their musical efforts", the Festival's secretary stated.

"The quality of musical works participated in this year's Iranian Youth Music Festival was higher than the works participated in last year's festival", the Festival's secretary Hooman As'adi concluded.

The closing ceremony of 12th Iranian Youth Music Festival was held at Vahdat Hall on Sunday in the presence of Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance Abbas Salehi.

The Youth Music Festival highlights Iranian music performed by young musicians.
