Speaking in a meeting with British Ambassador to Tehran Rob Macaire on Tuesday, president Hassan Rouhani said: "Today, we are in a very critical point in history regarding the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) and Europe's transparent measures in compensating for United States' illegal withdrawal from the nuclear deal is very important for the Iranian nation".

President welcomed deepening of relations between Tehran and London and said: "Fortunately, in recent years, Iran and Britain have both been determined to develop their relations further".

"The Islamic Republic of Iran has never sought tensions in the region and does not want any problem to happen for world's waterways, but will never let go of its rights to export oil," said the President.

Dr Rouhani also criticised incomplete implementation of the nuclear deal, particualrly with regards to its business and economic aspects, as well as banking relations by some signatories, saying: "The Islamic Republic of Iran is always ready to develop relations with European countries and now, after US' illegal withdrawal from the JCPOA, the ball is in Europe's court in the limited time remaining".

At the same meeting, British Ambassador to Tehran Rob Macaire presented his letter of credence to the President and said that the British government supports JCPOA's implementation and continuation.

He said: "Today, European countries are trying hard for the deal to survive, especially in relation to its economic aspects, which is unprecedented".

 Iran's de-escalation policies in the region are very important, he said, adding: "We are seeking to further develop relations with Iran and believe that resolving crises and issues is only possible through dialogue and diplomacy".

Speaking in a meeting with the new South Korean Ambassador to Tehran on Tuesday while receiving his letter of credence, Dr Hassan Rouhani said: "Today, companies and private sectors of the two countries have good cooperation in different fields, especially energy and they trust each other".

On the importance of further development of Tehran-Seoul relations, Dr Rouhani said: "We mustn't let political events and illegal sanctions harm the two countries' historic relations".

The new South Korean Ambassador to Tehran also presented his letter of credence to Dr Rouhani and said: "Iran and South Korea had always had good, friendly relations with each other".

Tehran-Seoul ties have become closer in the recent 5 years, he said adding: "I will spare no effort in further deepening of relations and cooperation between the two countries in different fields".

Speaking in a meeting with Vietnamese Ambassador to Iran Nguyen Manh Hien on Tuesday while receiving his letter of credence, Dr Hassan Rouhani said: "The two countries enjoy a myriad of opportunities to supply each other's needs and good steps can be taken to serve the two nations".

On better banking relations, he said: "We hope to see good developments in banking relations between the two countries and deepening of Tehran-Hanoi economic cooperation".

"The Islamic Republic of Iran is completely ready to cement economic, political and cultural relations between the two countries," continued Rouhani.

"The Iranian nation considers the Vietnamese as a lively, resistant and persistent in defending their land and good cultural and spiritual relations exist between the two nations, which is a good opportunity to further deepen these ties," he said.

Dr Rouhani also stressed better relations between the private sectors of the two countries and said: "Without a doubt, such cooperation can have a lot of benefits for the two nations".

"The Vietnamese Prime Minister has called on our companies that are active in economic fields to cement their relations with Iran," he continued.
